Generally speaking, there are two ways to customize toothpaste recipes. The first is to use unique ingredients entirely. This method is more difficult, because it is best for you to have a background knowledge in dentistry or understand the functions and limitations of the relevant materials. A little carelessness may cause conflicts or chemical reactions between materials. Fortunately, LMZ will have professional formulators to give you opinions and test results.
The second method is more suitable for most people, which is to add one or two additional ingredients based on the existing formula to achieve better results. For example, adding nano-hydroxyapatite. This method is safer and less error-prone.
No matter which method you choose, you need to carefully consider the function, usability and future sales points of the toothpaste before officially starting the project.
Another reminder, don’t easily trust the ingredient lists of various products online. Most toothpastes don’t list all ingredients. So it is unrealistic to refer to those ingredient lists.
*Why Toothpastes Have A High MOQ?
Experts Explain:
The MOQ of toothpaste is determined by two main factors: the paste and the tube of the toothpaste. The MOQ of toothpaste is not really the amount of finished product, but the amount of toothpaste material. This quantity is generally determined by the capacity of the cans in which the factory produces toothpaste, for example, a small can is 300 kg.
Assuming that a toothpaste is 100g, then 300kg will fill 3000 toothpastes. Not to mention that the piping of the production facility consumes some of the toothpaste, so the MOQ for 100g toothpaste is a minimum of 1000 units. Many factories have bigger tanks, so the MOQ will be higher.
LMZ toothpaste factories have different sizes of equipment because our MOQ is flexible and can accommodate different order quantities.
Next is toothpaste tubes. Toothpaste tubes are part of the packaging material and are usually made of aluminum or plastic. The MOQ of the packaging material is very high, again because each extrusion production will be at least several thousand toothpaste tubes. Even if our toothpaste factory can produce small quantities of toothpaste, toothpaste tubes cannot be produced only in small quantities.
To sum up, there is a reason for the high MOQ of toothpaste. And the reasons are more objective, not artificially and intentionally higher. If you want to use toothpaste as your new product, it is recommended to know the MOQ of the product and the production capacity of the factory first.
